Jp Carving Classes

Our classes are held over at 55 Old School Road in Jayanthi Nagar. Jp Carving Classes is a pretty small operation, tucked away near the Hormavu Post. It isn't a big institution with hundreds of rooms. It is more like a workshop where things actually get made. When you walk in, you will likely smell wood or see bits of stone and clay, depending on what everyone is working on that day. The benches are a bit worn down from years of use, but they work just fine for carving. Old School Road is a bit quieter than the main streets, which is nice when you are trying to focus on a detailed piece of work. We have a few instructors who have been doing this for years, and they don't use a lot of big words to explain things. They just show you how to hold the tools. We don't have a polished office or a sales team. It’s just a place for people who want to use their hands and learn a craft. Sometimes the floor is a mess with shavings, but we clean it up at the end of the day. The lighting is bright so we don't make mistakes. Most of the people who come here are just locals from the Jayanthi Nagar area or folks who don't mind the drive to Hormavu. It is a simple, honest space for anyone who wants to sit down and carve something out of a raw block of material.
