Ever Green Vegetable Stall

Ever Green Vegetable Stall is a simple setup here in Hebbal. We don't have a big store with glass windows. It’s more of an open stall where we can display everything clearly. We get to the market very early, usually while it’s still dark, to pick out the best vegetables. The morning air in Hebbal can be a bit chilly, but it wakes you up. We carry the crates in ourselves and set them up on the wooden benches. We have spinach, carrots, potatoes, and whatever else is fresh that day. Sometimes the tomatoes get a bit squashed in the bottom of the bin, so we have to sort through them. We use a simple scale and plastic bags, though we prefer it when people bring their own cloth bags. The ground is usually a bit damp from washing the greens. It’s a noisy place with people bargaining and cars honking nearby. We’ve been here for years, so we know which families like which veggies. We don't have a logo or any fancy branding. Just the name written on a piece of board. It’s honest work and it keeps us connected to the neighborhood. By the time evening comes, we’re usually tired and ready to head home, hopefully with empty crates. We might have some coriander left over to give away at the end.
