Domlur General Store

We are the local store for people living around Prashanth Nagar on the H A L Main Road, right at number 27. It’s a general store, so we carry a bit of everything that a household might need in a pinch. We’ve got soap, pulses, biscuits, and some basic stationery for the kids. The shelves are packed pretty high, and sometimes it’s hard to find what you’re looking for without asking us. We know most of our regular customers by their names and what they usually buy on a Tuesday evening. The H A L road is always busy with people going to work or heading home, so we stay open until fairly late. It’s not a supermarket where you walk around with a cart; it’s more of a counter service where we grab things for you. The shop gets a bit crowded in the mornings when the milk arrives and everyone is trying to get their packets before work. We have a small fridge for the cold drinks and curd, which hums quite loudly in the back. There isn't much room to move around, but we make it work. We don't do any big advertising or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the neighbors to come by. It’s a simple life running a small shop like this in the middle of a busy city. Sometimes the rain comes in through the front if we don't watch it.
