De Princess Art

De Princess Art is located in Rajajinagar. It’s a bit of a creative space where we deal with all sorts of artistic things. Rajajinagar is a nice area, a bit more traditional than some other parts of the city, and our shop fits right in. Our space is usually filled with the smell of paint and wood because there is always something being worked on in the back or on the main table. We have frames leaning against the walls and stacks of paper tucked into corners. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is. People come in looking for something specific for their homes or sometimes they just want to talk about a project they’re starting. We don’t really do big sales pitches. If someone likes what they see, they buy it. We spend a lot of time sitting at the back working on small details. Sometimes it’s quiet for hours and then three people will walk in at once. That’s just the nature of an art shop. We’ve had to deal with the changing neighborhood over the years, but the shop stays pretty much the same. We like the light that comes in through the front window in the afternoon. It helps when you’re trying to get colors right. It’s a small operation, just a few of us making sure things get done. We don't have a big corporate office or anything, just this one spot in Rajajinagar.
