D P R Vybhava Cultural Center

If you head down to Ramamurthy Nagar and look for number 270/2, that is where you will find the D P R Vybhava Cultural Center. It is a space we have here for all sorts of local gatherings and events that people need to hold. We didn't want anything too stiff or formal, so the building is pretty straightforward and open for whatever is going on that week. Sometimes it is music, other times it is just a community meeting where people talk too much. The area around here is usually quite lively, especially on the weekends when things are scheduled. We spend a lot of time just moving chairs around and making sure the floor is swept before the next group comes in. It is a lot of physical work keeping the place ready, but it is what we do. We have been part of the neighborhood for a bit now, and most of the locals know the address by heart. It is not one of those massive, shiny halls you see in the city center. It’s more of a practical spot for regular folks to use. We have had some good times here, watching different performances or just seeing families get together. There is always something to fix, like a leaky tap or a door that won't stay shut, but we manage. It’s just a local center for the people around Ramamurthy Nagar to use as they need.
