Crimson Art Gallery

Crimson Art Gallery is tucked away in The Hatworks Boulevard at 32 Cunningham Road. It’s a beautiful old building with a lot of history, which is why we like being here. It’s much quieter inside the boulevard than it is out on the main road. We spend our days surrounded by paintings and frames. It’s a calm atmosphere. People come in to look at the art or just to escape the Bangalore heat for a bit. We don't do big, loud promotions. We just hang the work and let people walk around. The building itself has high ceilings and a lot of character, which suits the art well. Sometimes we are busy unpacking new pieces or getting things ready for a showing, but mostly it’s just a steady pace. Cunningham Road is a prestigious spot, but our gallery feels very grounded. We aren't trying to be elitist. We just enjoy the work we have on the walls. Most of our visitors are regulars who have been coming for years. We know where the creaks in the floorboards are and how the light hits the rooms in the afternoon. It’s a nice way to spend the day, even if some months are slower than others. We take care of the space and the pieces inside it as best as we can.
