Corner House Ice Creams

You can find us at the 5th Cross in Richmond Town. This part of the city has its own feel, and we’ve been part of it at this location for a while. Corner House is usually a busy place, especially in the evenings when the sun starts to go down. The shop isn't very large, so people often end up standing outside on the sidewalk with their bowls. It’s a bit of a tradition around here. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of metal scoops hitting the bottom of containers and the freezer hum. We don't have any fancy decor or comfortable sofas. It’s just simple tables and chairs that have seen a lot of use. We spend a lot of time wiping down counters because ice cream tends to get everywhere. The staff here knows the routine by heart. It gets quite hectic on Sunday nights, and sometimes the line stretches out the door. We don't do any big promotions or ads. Word just gets around. Richmond Town is a nice area, but parking near the 5th Cross can be a real headache, which we know bothers some people. We just keep the freezers running and the toppings ready. It’s a straightforward business. No one wears a fancy uniform, just plain clothes and an apron. We’re just here to serve scoops to whoever walks in from the street. That’s how we’ve always done it.
