Calcutta Sweets & Snacks

We've been running Calcutta Sweets & Snacks here at Arekere Mico Layout for a while now. You can find us at no.201, Remanika, on the 6th Cross in the 2nd Stage. It's really close to the L&T South City Gate No. 2 on Bannerghatta Road. Most people just use the gate as a landmark because the lanes here can get a bit confusing if you aren't from around here. We spend most of our mornings getting the kitchen ready and making sure the sweets are fresh. It’s a lot of work with the milk and sugar, and the heat in the back gets pretty intense during the afternoons. My cousin helps me out with the frying and the counter. We mostly get people stopping by after work or folks living in the apartments nearby. Sometimes the traffic on Bannerghatta Road makes deliveries a bit of a headache, but we manage. We aren't a big fancy showroom or anything, just a small place where we try to get the taste of home right. Sometimes we run out of things early if it's a busy day. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us doing everything from cleaning to packing. It’s a simple setup, really. If you're looking for us, just head toward the L&T gate and you'll see the Remanika building. We're usually here until late evening when the last of the snacks are gone.
