Baskin Robbins

This shop is over in Murugeshpalya, and it is a pretty quiet spot compared to the bigger malls. We are just a local place where people stop by on their way home. The freezers are the main thing here, and we spend a good chunk of our day making sure they are frosting over correctly. We don’t have much room for sitting, so it is mostly a grab-and-go kind of setup. The neighborhood is a mix of houses and some smaller offices, so we see all sorts of people. Some guys come in every day for the same thing, while others want to try every sample we have. We keep the spoons in the little containers and the napkins stocked up on the counter. Murugeshpalya has its own pace, and we just fit into that. Sometimes when the power goes out, we have to scramble to get the backup going so nothing melts. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s nice to see people happy when they get what they wanted. We keep the windows clean so the posters look okay from the street. There isn't much to it, just keeping things cold and serving the folks who walk in through the door. We’ve been here a while and know the local rhythm well enough to know when the rush starts. We just try to keep the bins full and the floor clean for the next person.
