Azeem Provision Store

Our little shop is right on the Arabic College Main Road in Venkateshpura. We have been at 156/224 for a good bit of time now and have seen many changes in the streets around us. People from the neighborhood come in for their daily stuff like rice, pulses, and cooking oil. It is a very busy road with a lot of traffic and noise, so there is always someone stopping their scooter to grab something on their way home. We keep the shelves stocked with the usual things families need for their kitchens like spices, tea, and biscuits. It gets a bit crowded in the evenings when everyone finishes their work day and stops by. We know most of the faces that walk through the door and we often chat about the local news. Sometimes the grocery bags are quite heavy and we help the older folks carry them out to the curb. We are not a big supermarket with bright lights and fancy aisles, just a regular provision store where you can get what you need without much fuss. We manage the stock as best as we can, though sometimes things run out if the delivery truck gets stuck in traffic. Dealing with the daily crowd keeps us all on our toes. It is just me and a couple of others working here most days. We don't spend much time on decorations, just keeping the bins full and the counter clear for the next person. (258 words)
