Arun Icecreams

We’re located at Jayanagar Phase lll Gidc Naroda A17. It’s an industrial sort of area, so there are always trucks moving around and people in work clothes passing by. Arun Icecreams is a bit of a relief in the heat of the day. We have these big chest freezers that hum all day long. Sometimes they ice up too much and we have to spend an hour scraping them out, which is a cold job but someone has to do it. We don't have much of a seating area, just a couple of stools and a ledge where people can stand. It’s a simple shop. We keep a variety of flavors, though some are definitely more popular than others. We get a lot of workers from the nearby factories coming in during their breaks to get something cold. They don't want to talk much, just grab their treat and go back to work. We’re fine with that. Our staff is just a few local guys who know how to handle the rush. We don't have any fancy brochures or a website that we update. We just have the sign out front and the cold freezer inside. When the power goes out, which happens sometimes, we all panic a bit and try to keep the lids closed tight. It’s a plain, basic business, but on a hot afternoon, it’s the best place to be.
