Art City

Art City is sitting right at 76/9 Magadi Main Road 8th Cross. If you know Shankarappa Garden, you’ve probably walked past us a few times. It’s a small shop filled with all sorts of things for people who like to make stuff. We have frames leaning against the walls and stacks of boards in the corners. The smell of wood and glue is always there. It’s not a very big space, so we have to be careful where we step. We get a lot of students and local artists coming in looking for specific things. Sometimes we have to tell them we can't get a certain frame until next week. Magadi Main Road is always loud with the buses and autos, but once you step inside, it’s a bit quieter. We spend our days measuring things and cutting materials to size. It’s dusty work and our clothes usually show it by the end of the day. We don’t have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people seeing the sign and stopping by. The 8th cross is a busy little street and parking is always a headache for our customers. We’ve been here long enough that we know the other shopkeepers nearby. It’s just a regular local business trying to keep up with the daily orders. We close up when the sun goes down and the traffic starts to peak.
