Aranya Arts is based over at No.125 on the 1st Cross in VB Layout, Krishnarajapuram. It’s a residential-feeling area, so our place fits right in. We do various types of art and craft work. The space is filled with canvases, some jars of brushes, and bits of material we’ve collected over time. It’s not a gallery where everything is perfect. It’s a workspace. You might see some paint spills on the floor or stacks of frames waiting to be used. We’ve been in Krishnarajapuram for several years. We started small, just doing bits for friends, and then it turned into Aranya Arts. It’s a family-run thing mostly. We don't have a big team or a human resources department. If there's a problem, we just talk it out and fix it. We like the light that comes through the front window in the mornings; it’s good for seeing colors clearly. People from the layout often walk by and peek in. We don't mind. It’s nice to be part of the local scene. We don’t make grand claims about our work. We just enjoy making things and hope people find a use for them. It’s a lot of manual labor, cleaning brushes and mixing colors, but it’s what we know. If you're looking for the 1st Cross, we're right there near the corner. It's a good place for us.
