About Ajay Anandamurthy Visual Artist Painter Sculpture – Art & Craft in Bengaluru
I have been working out of Malleshwaram for a long time now. My space is at Palm Spring 204, and it’s usually filled with canvases and stone pieces since I do both painting and sculpture. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, there are paint stains on the floor and dust from carving, but that is how it goes when you are actually making things. People sometimes drop by to see what is currently on the easel or what I am chipping away at. I try to stay busy most days, even if it is just sketching out ideas for the next week. The light in this part of Malleshwaram is actually quite good in the mornings, which helps when I am trying to get the colors right. It is just me here most of the time, though I do have people coming in to talk about commissions or just to look around. I don't really have a big staff or anything, it is just a practical studio where work gets done. Sometimes the neighbors hear the hammering when I am working on a sculpture, but they are used to it by now. The address is pretty easy to find once you get into the building. I’ve lived around here for years, so it feels right to have my work life centered here too. It’s a quiet enough spot to focus on the art without too much distraction from the main road noise.
