We are over in Yeshwantpur 1St Stage, at unit E-003. It's a quiet spot most of the day, which helps when you're trying to focus on anything creative. The name After Hours Art really came from how we started, just doing things in the evening when the main rush of the day was over. People usually find us because they live nearby or they've seen the sign while walking to the main road. The space itself isn't huge. We have some tables pushed together and plenty of lights because it gets dark early in this corner. Sometimes the neighbor's dog barks when the delivery guys come by, but otherwise, it is a pretty calm place to work. We spend a lot of time just organizing supplies and making sure there is enough room for everyone to sit. It’s not fancy, just a room with some paint and tools. Some days we are here late into the night, especially when there is a big project finishing up. The ventilation isn't the best, so we keep the door propped open with a brick when it’s not too dusty outside. You get used to the sounds of the street after a while. Most people who drop by are from around the neighborhood. We don’t really have a big reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and we’re usually busy with something at the back desk. It works for us. We've got a small fridge for water and that's about it.
