Academy Of Indian Performing Arts

We have been running things over here on Bannerghatta Road for quite a while now. Our place is at number 44, and it is usually pretty easy to find if you know the area. People mostly come through our doors for the music and dance classes we hold throughout the week. It gets really busy in the late afternoons when the kids start showing up after their school lets out. We do our best to keep the rooms tidy, but it is a working studio, so you will often see instruments leaning against walls or costumes hanging up in the corners. The teachers we have are just regular people who really know their stuff and have been practicing for years. It is not a fancy or polished place, just a straightforward spot to learn. We have a few different rooms so multiple things can happen at once. Sometimes you might hear someone practicing the flute while a loud dance class is going on in the room next door. It is a bit noisy, but it is a good kind of energy to have around. Most of the folks who come to us live nearby, so it feels more like a community center than a formal school. We do not do much in the way of big advertising, as most people just hear about us from their neighbors or friends. The wooden floors are good for the dancers, even if they have a few scuffs. It is just us.
