Jagdamba Marble & Granite (P) Ltd.

Our factory is at 55-C in the Dahod Road Industrial Area. It’s a busy place with a lot of noise from the machines. Jagdamba Marble & Granite (P) Ltd. is basically just a big shed full of stone slabs and heavy equipment. We spend most of our time moving granite around with the cranes. It’s hard work and the days are long, especially in the summer when the heat in the industrial area is really something. We started small and just kept adding more space as we went along. The area can be a bit chaotic with all the trucks coming and going, but we like it here. We have granite in all sorts of colors, mostly whatever we can get from the local quarries nearby. Sometimes the polish isn't exactly perfect on the first try, so we have to do it again until it looks right. We aren't big on talking ourselves up to potential customers. We just want to get the orders loaded and sent out on time. The guys in the shop know their business well enough. We use a lot of water for the cutting, so it stays pretty wet on the floor. If you visit, wear boots because it gets messy in there. That is just how a stone factory works. We stay busy and try to make sure the stone is cut the way it's supposed to be for whoever is buying it. It is a living and it keeps us all fed.
