You can find Digamber Stone Pvt. Ltd. right across from Durga Automobile. We are near Dahod Road, so there is always traffic going by. It’s a busy spot. We’ve been handling stone for a long time now. The yard gets pretty messy with all the offcuts and dust, but that’s just how it is in this trade. We focus on getting the slabs ready for transport. Some days the cranes are working non-stop, and other days we’re just doing inventory. We aren't big on fancy talk or long meetings. We just get to the yard, see what needs to be moved, and get to it. Most of the people who work here live nearby. We know the rhythms of the road and the local weather. When it rains, things get slippery, so we have to be extra careful with the heavy loads. We’ve got different types of stone sitting in the back, some that have been there a while and some that just arrived. Customers usually know what they are looking for when they pull in. We just show them the piles and let the stone speak for itself. It’s honest work, even if it leaves you tired at the end of the shift. The office is small and usually has a bit of grit on the floor from our boots. That's just part of the life here at Digamber. We don't try to be anything we aren't.
