B M Marble Granites

B M Marble Granites is located on the Thikriya Dahod Road at 43-44 C. It’s a big open yard where we keep all our stone. Being out on the road like this means there is always a lot of dust in the air, especially when the wind picks up. We have stacks of marble and granite slabs leaning against each other. It’s a bit of a maze walking through them. I spend my days out here, mostly in my boots because the ground is often wet from when we wash the stones or cut them. The office is just a tiny room in the corner made of bricks and a tin roof. It gets very hot in there during the summer, so I prefer to stay outside under the shade of the trees if I can. We don't have a fancy display or a sales team. If you want to buy stone, you just come in and walk around the yard with me. I’ll show you what we have and tell you the price. The work is physically hard and my back often aches by the end of the shift. We use an old truck to move the heavier pieces and sometimes it takes a few tries to get it started. It’s a dusty, noisy life, but there’s something nice about the smell of wet stone in the morning.
