Mahadev Bags

Mahadev Bags is on the ground floor at 126/129-5 in the Charkop area of Chickpet. We are right next to the Udupi Krishna Bhavan, which is a very popular spot for people to eat. If you follow the smell of the food, you will find us pretty easily. Chickpet is a maze of shops and it can be overwhelming if you aren't used to it. We have a lot of bags packed into our small space. We keep things like backpacks, duffels, and smaller pouches. It’s usually quite busy in this part of town, especially in the afternoons. We spend a lot of time moving stock around to make room for new items. The building is an older one, but it serves us well. We don't have air conditioning, so we keep the fans going all day. Most of our customers are locals who come to Chickpet for their shopping. We don't use any special marketing tricks. We just put the bags out where people can see them and wait for someone to take an interest. We’ve been here long enough that we know the delivery guys and the neighbors by name. It is a tight-knit community despite how busy it is. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized in the middle of all the Chickpet chaos. Most days are long, but we enjoy the work we do here.
