Maan Singh has his place in Goraula and that is where we run things from. We are all from around Aligarh. The farming here is what we know. We decided to call ourselves Maan Singh Farmer Producer Companylimited so we could do business properly. It's just a bunch of neighbors really. We grew up on these lands. Sometimes the ground is dry and sometimes the pests are bad. We talk about what to plant each year. If we buy stuff in bulk, we save a little money. That matters when you have a family to feed. We don't use fancy words or have big meetings. We just sit around and figure out the plan. Maan Singh keeps the records. It's important to have someone you trust holding the papers. We are mostly busy in the fields from morning until late. The village of Goraula is quiet but we stay active. We want our kids to see that farming can still work if we stick together. It's hard to do everything by yourself these days. The market changes too fast. Being a group gives us a chance. We don't have any big promises to make. We just work the dirt and hope the harvest is good. Aligarh is a good place but you have to be tough to farm here. We keep going day by day. It's a lot of sweat and hope.
