Sathiyaon Fed Farmer Producer Company Limited

Out in Gram Rautmau, which is in Nizamabad, we have our small group called Sathiyaon Fed Farmer Producer Company Limited. Sanjay Yadav is the one who helps coordinate our activities from his place. Like most people in this part of Uttar Pradesh, our lives are tied to the land. We’ve got a lot of farmers in our group now. We decided to form this company to get a better handle on the market. It’s tough when you’re just one person trying to sell a few bags of grain. When we work together, we can actually get the attention of the bigger buyers. The area around Nizamabad is famous for its black pottery, but for us, it’s all about the crops. We deal with wheat, paddy, and whatever else grows well in this soil. The rainy season is always a bit of a gamble, but we make do. We meet up pretty regularly to discuss our plans. There’s a lot of talk about the cost of everything these days. We don't use any fancy language or business speak. We just say things as they are. The paperwork is a bit of a pain, and we’re still learning how to manage all the official stuff. But at the end of the day, we are just farmers trying to get by and help our community. It is a slow process but we are getting somewhere.
