Manikanta Granites

Manikanta Granites is where we work. We are out in the Anantapur District, specifically at 13/917-2-a in 3rd Sanjay Nagar, Kalbardi. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you aren't from the area. The sun in Anantapur can be really harsh, so we try to do the heavy lifting in the morning or later in the evening. Our yard in Kalbardi is full of granite slabs that we have brought in. We spend our days checking the pieces and talking to the drivers who come and go. It is a simple setup in Sanjay Nagar. We don't have many employees, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. The stone business is tough on the back, but we are used to it by now. We’ve lived in this district for a long time, so we know how things work around here. It’s a bit dusty and the road into Kalbardi can be bumpy, but we like it here. People usually find us through word of mouth. We don’t have a big sign or anything too flashy. Just the address on the wall and the stones out front. It is a quiet life in some ways, even with all the work. We just keep doing what we know how to do, one day at a time, right here in the district.
