Butterfly Granites

Butterfly Granites is situated on Court Road at Plot No:7/201. Even though the name sounds a bit light, the work we do here is anything but. Granite is heavy and unforgiving, and we spend our hours wrestling with these big slabs of rock. The road outside can get pretty busy with people heading toward the courts or the offices nearby. We have our yard set up to hold as much as we can. It’s a lot of sweat and grime most days. We don't have a fancy team or big marketing. It is just a few of us making sure the stone is handled right. The sun beats down on the yard in the summer and the stone gets so hot you need gloves to touch it. We spend time sorting through the stock and checking the slabs for cracks or chips. It is a very hands-on kind of business. We’ve been at this spot for a while and the locals know us by now. There’s always a layer of stone dust on the desk and the floor. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done. It’s not a complicated life, just moving one heavy piece of granite after another until the day is over.
