Sr Granites

Sr Granites is located over at 2-1-135 on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Guntakal. It is a straightforward place where we keep our stock of stone. We spend most of our mornings moving slabs around and checking what came in from the quarries. Guntakal is a dry place, so the yard gets pretty hot during the middle of the day. We have various types of granite for flooring and counters. Nothing too fancy, just good solid stone. My brother and I usually handle the customers who walk in from the street. They ask about the price per square foot and we show them what is available in the back. Sometimes a batch looks a bit different than the last one, so we have to explain that natural stone varies like that. We do the cutting here if someone needs a specific size for their stairs or windowsills. The shop is right on the main road, so it’s easy to find. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’re still here at the same door number. It’s a simple business. We buy the stone, we stock it, and we sell it to people nearby who are working on their homes. We don't do big advertisements or anything like that. Just word of mouth and people seeing us when they walk past on Mahatma Gandhi Road. It is a lot of work but we have been at it for a while.
