Haritha Granite

Over here at 205 in Tadpatri, we run Haritha Granite. Tadpatri is known for its stone, so there are plenty of us around, but we just focus on our own yard. It is a dusty business, honestly. We have slabs leaning against the walls and more piled up in the center. I spend most of my mornings checking the quality of what we got in the previous night. The trucks usually arrive late when the roads are clearer for the heavy loads. We have a small crew of guys who are good with their hands and know how to use the polishing tools. We cut the stone to size based on what the person needs for their house. It is not always perfect; sometimes a piece breaks during cutting and we have to start over from scratch. That is just part of the cost of doing business. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning; it is just a desk in the corner of the workshop. Most of our customers are locals who are building their own homes. They come in, walk around the stacks, and pick what they like. We tell them how much it is and when they can pick it up. It is a very direct way of working. No big corporate meetings here, just us and the stone. Some days the heat is really tough, but we keep moving.
