D.R. Modern Sr. Sec. School & College

D.R. Modern Sr. Sec. School & College is situated on GT Road, right opposite the Cococola factory in Chheharta, Amritsar. It is a very easy landmark to give to anyone who is looking for us. Since we have both a school and a college on the same site, the campus is always full of people. There is a huge age gap between the youngest and the oldest, which makes for a very lively atmosphere. The traffic on GT Road is constant and loud, but once the gates are closed, it feels a bit more like a proper place for study. We have several wings in the building to keep the different age groups separated. The structure is made of solid brick and has been here for a while now. We don’t spend much time on fancy decorations or advertisements. Most people in Amritsar know us just by the location. We have the usual library and some space for physical education, but nothing that you would call luxury. It’s a practical environment. The teachers are busy from morning till afternoon with their lectures and classes. We keep a close eye on the attendance and the daily schedule. It’s a bit of a trek to the top floors, but it keeps everyone active. We just try to provide a decent place for the local kids and young adults to get their education. Being at 143001 means we are central to everything happening in this part of town, right near the busy factory area.
