Sethi Punjabi Dhaba

Station Road is always moving and being at 393 A puts us right in the middle of all that activity in Naini. You can hear the trains every now and then if the wind is right but mostly it is just the sound of cars and rickshaws out front. We opened up this dhaba to give people a place to sit down while they are traveling or just finishing their work day in Allahabad. The Hanuman Nagar area has a lot of people moving through it and we see plenty of them every single day. We keep the stove going and the tables wiped down as best we can throughout the shifts. It is a straightforward kind of place where you just come in and eat. There are no fancy decorations or anything like that on the walls. We have some heavy wooden tables and the lighting is just whatever works for the evening. Most of the time we are back in the kitchen making sure things are moving along. It gets a bit dusty being so close to the road but that is just part of living in Naini. We have grown used to the pace of the station traffic and how it dictates our day. Sometimes it is quiet in the mid-morning and then suddenly everyone arrives at once. That is just how the dhaba life goes for us. We stay busy with the routine and keep things simple.
