Kalika Restaurant

Kalika Restaurant is situated on Lohiya Marg in the Civil Lines area of Allahabad. We are right near the Ajay International Chauraha, which is a busy intersection. The 211001 area is usually humming with activity, and we’ve been part of it for a long time. Our place is just a regular restaurant where you can come in and sit down after a long day. We don't have any of those modern touchscreens or fancy uniforms. We just wear what we’ve got and get to work. I spend a lot of my time at the cash counter or checking on the kitchen. The kitchen can get pretty hectic when the dinner rush starts, and you can hear the pans clanging from the dining room. We have some regular customers who have been coming here for years, and we know exactly what they want before they even sit down. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’ve been too busy to get to it. We just focus on the food and making sure the water glasses are full. It’s a straightforward business. We aren't trying to win any awards; we just want to keep the stove hot and the customers satisfied. If you’re around Civil Lines, you’ll find us easily enough near the chauraha. It’s not anything special to look at, but we do our best.
