Jevnar Restaurant

Jevnar Restaurant is right there at 32 A in Johnstonganj. If you know Allahabad, you know this part of town is usually packed with people and rickshaws. We have been here for a while now, sitting right in the middle of the Johnstonganj area. It is a busy spot, and there is always a lot of noise coming from the street. We just open the shutters in the morning and start getting things ready for whoever walks in. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they have character from all the years of people eating here. We use simple tables and chairs because we think the food is what matters more than the furniture. Most of our days are spent in the back or greeting people who have been coming here for years. It’s not a large place, but it fits what we need. We don't have any big slogans or anything like that. We are just a local restaurant trying to keep things moving. The weather gets hot in the summer, so we do what we can to keep the place feeling okay for the customers. It’s a basic setup where the focus is just on the daily routine. You can see the street life passing by the door while you sit inside. During the afternoon, things slow down a bit before the dinner rush starts up again and the street lights come on.
