Friends Forever

We’ve been running this spot in Civil Lines for a while now. It’s tucked away at 13/13 Sardar Patel Marg, right underneath the Club America showroom. You might walk right past it if you aren't paying attention. It is not a very large place, just enough for a few tables and some chairs we’ve had for years. We started this because we needed a way to make a living and we liked the area. Allahabad is changing fast, but this corner feels the same to us. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and one of the fans makes a bit of a clicking sound when it’s on high. We don't mind it much. Mostly, we see people who work in the offices nearby or shoppers who are tired from walking. We don't have a big staff with uniforms. It is usually just us and a couple of boys helping out. We keep the water cooler filled and try to keep the place tidy. The traffic on the road outside is loud in the afternoons, so it isn't the quietest place to sit. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning and stay until we’re done for the day. It’s just a regular local business. We are glad to be here.
