B.B.S. College Of Engineering & Technology is out here in Goddopur, right by the Phaphamau area. It is a bit of a trek from the main city, but once you get past the bridge and the local shops, you see the buildings standing there. The sun hits the brick walls pretty hard in the afternoons, and you’ll see students hanging around the gates or walking down to the post office nearby to handle their mail. Inside, it is just a lot of classrooms and labs filled with old desks and computer monitors that have seen better days. The corridors get quite noisy between classes when everyone rushes out at once. We spend most of our time just keeping things running, fixing fans that stop working or making sure the water coolers are full. The grass in the front gets a bit dry during the summer months, but it’s a decent enough spot to sit if you find some shade. People around here are mostly local, coming in from nearby villages or the outskirts of Prayagraj. It is not a fancy place, just a collection of halls where people try to learn their subjects and get through the day. You can hear the distant sound of traffic from the highway if you stand still long enough. It’s a busy place but feels quiet in the mornings before the first bus arrives at the gate.
