Babamahakal Farmers Producer Companylimited

Our little group is called Babamahakal Farmers Producer Companylimited. We are based out of Uma Shankar Roy’s place over in Pradhanpara. If you know the Jaldapara area in Jalpaiguri, you’ve probably passed by us at some point. It’s a beautiful part of the country, though the work on the farm is always tough. We named it Babamahakal because it felt right for our community here. There’s a lot of us who have joined up to see if we can make our farming work a bit more steady. Usually, you’ll find Uma Shankar Roy handling the mail and the visitors because that’s where we’re registered. We don't really have a big staff or anything like that. It’s mostly just us farmers coming together when we have a spare moment between planting and harvesting. The Jalpaiguri weather keeps us on our toes, so we spend a lot of time discussing the rains and the soil. We aren't into big marketing or trying to sound like we’re something we aren't. We are just a producer company made of people who have dirt under their fingernails and a lot of hope for the next season. The 736204 area is where we call home. It’s a basic setup, really. We just meet, talk shop, and try to get a fair price for what we grow in the fields around Jaldapara. It’s not always easy, but having each other's support makes a difference when the harvest is thin or the prices are low.
