You can find us in Alipurduar Chowpathi, right on the Samuktala Road. We are situated right beside the Hotel Elite, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find the place. Our focus is on agriculture and horticulture, so there are usually a lot of plants and bags of fertilizer around the area. The office is in a busy part of town, so there is always the sound of horns and people talking outside. We spend our days helping people figure out what to plant and how to take care of their gardens or farms. It is a bit messy sometimes with all the soil samples and seed packets lying around on the desks. We are not a very formal group. We often have dirt under our fingernails and we prefer it that way. The building is older and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it serves us well. We talk to a lot of different people, from local backyard gardeners to farmers with large plots of land. Every day is a little bit different depending on what is in season. We handle the paperwork for the business in between talking to customers and checking on our stock. It is a very hands-on job and we don't spend much time sitting still. We just try to keep things simple and help people grow things better in this part of West Bengal.
