Our operation is based out at 988 Ajmer Sherkhan Road. If you drive down that way, you can't miss the dust. We deal with minerals and different kinds of raw earth materials, so everything around here is covered in a light grey powder. The office is a small building right at the entrance of the yard. It’s mostly just a place for us to keep the records and for the drivers to sign their paperwork. We have big trucks coming in and out all day long, and the sound of the engines is pretty much all you hear. It’s a tough environment, especially when the wind picks up and blows the dust everywhere. We have to wear masks most of the time just to breathe okay. We’ve been at this location for many years now, and the road has seen a lot of changes, but the work remains the same. We start before the sun comes up to get a head start on the loading. It’s physical work and it leaves you tired by the end of the day. There’s a small shack where we keep the water cooler, and that’s the most popular spot in the whole yard during the summer months. We don't have any fancy brochures or a sales team. We just deal with the stone and the grit and the transport companies. It’s a plain and simple business out on Sherkhan Road.
