Balaji Minerals

Our place, Balaji Minerals, is located right on the Kekri Main Road. It’s a busy stretch of road, which is good because it makes it easy for the transport trucks to find us and pull over. We aren't a massive company with a shiny office. It’s just a few of us working with the minerals that come through this area. The yard is usually full of material waiting to be moved. Most mornings start with a cup of hot tea while we plan out which loads are going where. The dust is a constant companion here, especially when the wind picks up off the main road, but you get used to it after a week or two. My brother handles most of the accounts while I stay outside and manage the loading. We have a small crew of laborers who really know how to handle the heavy stuff. It’s not flashy or glamorous work. Sometimes we just sit on the bench outside and watch the traffic when things are slow. We don't bother with fancy advertising or anything like that. People in Kekri know where we are if they need something. We just try to be fair and get through the day’s work without too much trouble. The office is mostly just a place to keep the invoices and some samples of the stone we handle. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living for our small team.
