Vikas Mineral Products has its home right inside Ajmeri Gate. It’s one of those older parts of the city where the streets are narrow and everything feels very lived-in. We work with different minerals and products that come through here. Being inside the gate means we are part of a very old business community. It’s crowded and noisy most of the time, with carts and scooters zipping past. Our space is functional, not for show. We have sacks and containers stacked up, and there’s usually a bit of dust in the air from the materials we handle. It’s the kind of place where you know your neighbors by name. We’ve stayed in this spot because it’s where the trade happens. You won't find any modern glass windows or air-conditioned lobbies here. It’s just a workspace with a desk and some storage. The history of Ajmeri Gate is all around us, and we like being part of that. Some days are slow, others are hectic with orders. We just take it as it comes. It can be hard for big trucks to get through the gate sometimes, so we have to coordinate things carefully. It’s a local operation, through and through. We don't try to be anything else. If you find yourself in the market inside the gate, you’ll probably stumble across us. The office is small but we make it work every day.
