Manokamna Minerals

Out here at F 231 in the Silora Riico Industrial Area, things stay pretty dusty. That is just part of being in the mineral business in Kishangarh. We handle a lot of raw materials at Manokamna Minerals. Most days involve watching the grinders turn rocks into powder. It is loud and you have to wear a mask if you are standing too close. We deal with local quarries mostly. The trucks come in loaded high with stone and leave with bags stacked up on pallets. The sun hits the white dust and makes everything look bright even when it is cloudy. We have a small office tucked in the corner, but mostly we are out on the floor. The paperwork gets covered in grit no matter how many times we wipe the desk. It is a family-run thing for the most part. My brother handles the transport and I look after the machines. We have had some of the same guys working here since we first opened. They know the sound the motor makes when a belt is about to snap. We do not do any marketing. Kishangarh is a small circle, so news travels by word of mouth anyway. If someone needs a certain grade of mineral, they just drive down the row and find us. We do not have a website or anything like that. Just a sign on the gate and a lot of heavy lifting. It is a rough job but it is what we do daily.
