Out here on Tabizi Farm Road, it feels a bit different than being right in the middle of Ajmer. It is more open, and you get a lot of that Rajasthan sun hitting the buildings all day long. The road out to Tabiji can be a bit bumpy sometimes, but you get used to the drive after a while. Our building is pretty spread out. We have these long stretches of corridor where you can hear your own footsteps echoing if the classes are all in session. The office is usually the busiest spot, with people coming in to ask about forms or just to check the time. We have a lot of windows, which is good for the breeze, though it brings in a bit of dust from the fields nearby. You see the staff carrying stacks of books or heading out to the grounds when it's time for some fresh air. It is a practical sort of place. Nothing is over the top. We have the usual stuff like benches, blackboards, and a lot of cabinets filled with old records. Sometimes the fans creak a bit when they are on high, but they keep the heat off during the middle of the day. Working at Delhi Public School in this part of Ajmer means you see the seasons change quite clearly across the open land. It’s a long day from the first bell to the last, but the routine keeps everyone moving forward.
