The Lawrence And Mayo Public School is located at Vijay Mahal on Beawar Road in the Ram Ganj area of Ajmer. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always a lot of movement outside the gates. The school itself has a bit of an old-fashioned look to it, sitting right there on the main road. Students come from all over this side of Ajmer, arriving in vans or walking through the narrow lanes of Ram Ganj. Inside, the noise of the traffic fades a little, replaced by the sound of teachers lecturing and the scratching of pens on paper. We have several floors, and the stairs are usually busy with kids moving between classes. It’s not a quiet place, but schools rarely are. The office is always full of paperwork, and there’s usually a parent or two waiting to speak with the principal. We use standard textbooks and follow the regular curriculum without adding anything fancy. The water cooler in the hallway is a popular spot, especially during the hot months when everyone is thirsty. The building has some character, with its older architecture and high ceilings. It’s just a solid, everyday school where people in Ajmer have been sending their kids for quite some time now. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles, just the usual classrooms and a sense of daily duty that starts every morning at the first bell.
