Aan Academy Secondary School

Aan Academy is located at Plot Number 10 in Kekri, which is in the Ajmer district. It is a secondary school, so we have kids ranging from the little ones to those finishing up their tenth grade. The school building is a solid structure right in the middle of the locality. It’s a typical Rajasthani town setting, so it gets quite dusty and warm, especially in the summer months. We have a courtyard where the children stand for their morning assembly. It’s nothing too grand, just a place for them to line up and start the day. The classrooms have the standard wooden benches and green boards. Teachers here use a lot of talk and chalk. You can hear the lessons being read out loud from the street if you walk by at the right time. Most families in Kekri know where we are. We have a small office where parents come to pay the fees or ask about their child’s progress. The routine is the same every day. The bell rings, the kids run out for lunch, and then they head back in for more math or social studies. We don't have a giant playground, but there's enough room for them to move around. It is just a regular school trying to keep things moving along for the local students in Ajmer. Sometimes we have to deal with the noise from the nearby market, but we are used to it.
