Mangal Newton School

Our school is out by the Shree Cement Bypass in Beawar City. It’s a bit away from the main center of Ajmer, which means we have some space around us. The road nearby sees a lot of heavy trucks because of the cement plant, but once you get inside the school gates, it’s a different world. We have a decent-sized building where all the classes take place. The kids come in from all over Beawar. Some come on the school bus and others get a lift from their parents. We keep a simple schedule. The mornings are for the core subjects when everyone is fresh. The teachers use the chalkboards and go through the chapters one by one. It’s a practical environment. We don't have a lot of decorative stuff; we just focus on the books. During the breaks, the kids have a place to play, usually in the dirt or on the small paved area. The sun can get really strong out here, so we appreciate the shade when we can find it. It’s a working-class area and the school reflects that. We just want the kids to show up, do their lessons, and go home safe. By the end of the day, everyone is ready to head out and the bypass gets busy again. It’s our little corner of the city where we try to get things done without making any kind of big scene. We stick to the plan.
