Finding us is pretty easy because we are right near the big B.S.N.L. tower. Most people use it as a landmark when they are coming down the Kheda Gopalpura Road. Nasirabad is a place where everyone knows everyone else’s business. Our school building sits right there on the corner of Nawab. We get kids coming in from the village and the town areas. Most of the teachers have been working here for many years now. We still use those old wooden desks that have seen better days, but they still hold up okay. The morning assembly is usually held out in the sun unless it's just too hot to stand there. We talk about the daily news and then everyone heads off to their class. The walls are painted a light cream color to try and keep things feeling cool. We have a small library but the kids usually prefer running around outside. Ajmer is beautiful but the dust gets everywhere no matter how much we clean. We spend a lot of time sweeping the hallways. Lunch break is definitely the loudest time of the entire day. You can smell all the different foods from the tiffins being opened. We try to keep things organized but with so many students, it’s always a bit of a rush to get back to lessons. Life here is simple and we like it. We teach the basics and hope the kids do well in life after they leave.
