Wonder Cement Limited

Our office is up on the 4th floor of Shail'S Mall. It’s right on C.G. Road in Navrangpura, which is always noisy and full of traffic. Being in a mall sounds weird for a cement company like Wonder Cement Limited, but it’s mostly just paperwork and phones ringing up here. The elevator in the building sometimes takes forever, so a few of us just take the stairs if we aren't carrying much. From the window, you can see the cars crawling along the road below. Navrangpura is a busy part of town, so finding parking is usually a headache for anyone visiting. We’ve been in this suite for a bit now. The walls are a plain off-white and there’s always a stack of papers needing to be filed. It’s not like the actual cement plants where things are loud and dusty. Here, it’s mostly quiet except for the hum of the AC and people talking on their mobiles. We get our tea from a guy nearby who brings it up in a kettle. It’s just a regular workplace. Nothing special about the decor, just desks and chairs and computers. We try to stay organized, but sometimes the desk gets buried under site reports and invoices. That's just how it goes when you're working in the middle of a city like this. It's a long way from where the cement is actually made, but we keep the wheels turning from here.
