Vishalla Restaurant

Our restaurant is over in Vasna, right by the Tolnaka and near the APMC market. If you are driving on the Sarkhej Narol Highway, you can’t really miss the turn-off. We’ve been here for a long time, doing things the way they used to be done. We don't have chairs and tables like most modern places. Instead, we have a more traditional setup where you might sit a bit lower or on the floor. The food we serve is what we call a thali, with a bunch of different local dishes that we cook fresh every day. We don't use a lot of modern machines; we prefer clay pots and open fires for a lot of our cooking. It gives the food a different taste that you don't get elsewhere. The place is mostly open-air, which is great when there is a breeze, but it can get a bit warm in the summer. We have some old items and crafts scattered around the place to give it a bit of a village feel. We don't have a fancy menu where you pick and choose. You just sit down and we bring out what’s cooking that day. It’s a slow way of eating, so don't come if you are in a big rush. We just want people to enjoy a simple meal like their grandparents might have had. It’s a lot of work to keep it all going, but we like it this way.
