Vimal Ceramic

The shop is located at 43 Shramjivi Vasahat which is right near the Rajendra Park National Highway Number 8 in Odhav. It is a very busy part of town and the sound of trucks passing by never really stops. We spend a lot of our time moving boxes of ceramic tiles from one corner to the other. These boxes are quite heavy and they pile up quickly against the walls. We try to keep things organized but sometimes a stack gets a bit messy when we are looking for a specific batch. Opp Rajdeep Park is a good landmark for people trying to find us. The air here usually feels a bit thick with the exhaust from the highway. We have a small desk where we keep the ledgers and the pens but mostly we are on our feet on the warehouse floor. Customers come in looking for something for their bathroom or kitchen and we just show them what we have on the racks. We don't have fancy displays with lights. It is just the tiles sitting in their boxes. Sometimes we have tea with the other shop owners nearby when things slow down in the afternoon. It is hard work on the legs standing on these hard floors all day. We just keep the shutter open and wait for the next delivery to arrive from the factory. That is the daily routine for us here in Odhav.
