Parmeshwar Granite

We’ve been at Gota Char Rasta for a while now. The yard gets dusty. People come in looking for slabs. Sometimes we're busy moving things around with the crane. Plot No. 492/6 is where we keep everything. The traffic at the Char Rasta is always loud. We have stacks of granite all over. Some people want black stone, some want the grey kind. It is heavy work. We usually stay open until the sun goes down. It’s just a regular yard. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just the stone and the tools we use. My cousin helps out on the weekends when it gets busy. Customers sometimes bring their contractors along. We show them what we have in stock at the moment. If it is not here, we see if we can find it somewhere else. The rain makes the slabs look different than when they are dry. You have to be careful walking around the yard because of the puddles. Most of the stuff we have comes from quarries that are quite far away. We load the trucks when they arrive and hope the traffic isn't too bad. It’s a lot of physical labor. Gota has changed a lot since we started. There are more buildings now. We just keep doing what we do every morning. Sometimes the coffee guy comes by around eleven. That’s usually the best part of the morning. We don't really do much advertising here.
