About Vidhata Sarees – Fashion & Trends in Ahmedabad
We've been at Panchkuva for a while now. It’s a busy area, but we like it here. People come in looking for sarees for all sorts of things, maybe a wedding or just something to wear at home. We try to keep a decent stock so there is always something to look at. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded when it's festival season, but that's just how it is. We don't really do much fancy stuff, just keep the shelves filled with whatever is coming in from the weavers. My cousin helps out most days. We usually open up mid-morning and stay until the market starts thinning out. It’s not a huge place, but it works for us. We handle a lot of regular customers who have been coming to this part of town for years. You know how it is in Panchkuva, everyone knows everyone. We just sit here, show the pieces, and if someone likes the fabric, they take it. There's always a lot of tea drinking and talking about the weather or the local news while people browse through the stacks. We don't have a big website or anything, just this physical spot where you can touch the cloth. It’s simpler that way. We spend a lot of time just folding things back up after a long day. It’s honest work. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but the sarees look good, and that's what matters.
