Vertex Engineering Works

Vertex Engineering Works is tucked away at E/6, Rushika Flats in New Vadaj. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for a workshop since we are so close to the residential area and Kiran Park. You can usually hear us before you see us, with the sound of metal being worked on echoing a bit through the lane. We try to be mindful of the neighbors, but engineering isn't exactly a silent business to be in. The shop floor is always crowded with lathes and parts waiting to be finished. I’ve been working here for a long time now, and I think I know where every single wrench and bolt is hidden. It’s a small space, so we have to stay organized, or we’d never find anything when a rush job comes in. Usually, there’s a pot of tea sitting somewhere getting cold because we got distracted by a difficult machine part. People from the flats often walk by and peek in to see what we’re making today, or just to say hello. It’s a friendly enough place, even if it’s greasy and loud most of the time. We don't have a fancy showroom or a receptionist to greet people. If you want to talk to someone, you just have to shout over the machines or wait for a break. It’s just a few of us trying to get the specs right and the parts out on time.
