Techdrive Engineering

Techdrive Engineering is tucked away at Plot No. C-1B/4307 in Phase 4, GIDC, Vatva. It is a bit of a mouthful of an address, but we have been here long enough that all the delivery drivers know exactly where to turn. The workshop is usually filled with the smell of metal and grease, which is exactly how an engineering place should be. We have a few lathes and some milling machines that have seen a lot of use over the years. We aren't the type to buy new equipment just for the sake of it if the old stuff still works perfectly fine. Most of the guys here have calloused hands and can tell if a machine is running wrong just by the sound it makes. We don't spend much time on computers unless we are looking up a specific part number or checking a drawing. It is hands-on work from the moment we open the shutters in the morning until we lock up at night. Sometimes we stay late when a difficult job comes in, sitting around a drawing on a greasy table trying to figure out the right way to cut a piece of steel. There is a lot of metal scrap in the bins out back and plenty of heavy lifting throughout the day. We don't have any sales people or a marketing department. If people need engineering work done, they usually just hear about us from someone else in the GIDC and show up at the gate.
